Evan Owen Dennis is a Los Angeles based filmmaker and creative lead with over 15 years of experience directing cinematic work across film, branded content, and gaming. A member of the Director’s Guild of America (DGA), he has established a career defined by an authentic approach to filmmaking, beauty, and emotion, directing global campaigns for brands such as Google, New Balance and Metallica.
While his roots are in live action, Evan continues to expand his craft into the real time medium, bringing a unique and high level filmmaker’s perspective to cinematic design. Trained at the Gnomon School, he applies a serious real world understanding of lens logic and motivated lighting to create grounded, filmic sequences within Unreal Engine.
His approach is defined by a mastery of camera design and a sophisticated editorial instinct. As a writer and editor, he possesses a unique advantage in the pipeline by staging and capturing every shot with a deep understanding of the final edit. This ensures that every narrative moment carries the visual rhythm, sound, and emotional weight of world class cinema. Beyond his technical execution, Evan leads multidisciplinary creative teams with a focus on the highest standards of storytelling from initial concept through delivery.
